Benchmark Laboratory

Now required for participation in the Minnesota StatewideTrauma System.

The Benchmark Skills Lab, offered at the University of Minnesota Emergency Medicine Department and Hennepin County Medical Center  is a one-day “cockpit, white-knuckle training“ experience for rural teams who encounter critical emergencies in their emergency departments. It stresses teamwork, preparation, and hands-on skills learning and practice. The setting is realistic but friendly and forgiving. Two team leaders and two team members attend each lab session. The session lasts for eight hours and satisfies the lab requirement of the CALS course certification.
